I have trained for 5 years to become a Therapeutic Counsellor at South Staffordshire College, qualifying at Level 5 and going on to set up my own private practice. 

Through my own life experiences and trauma, it was always my aim to become a Counsellor and to be able to help others. I feel that through my own experiences I am a congruent and empathetic counsellor to all of my clients. 

I work as an Integrative Counsellor and have worked with many different issues and within my counselling I use different methodologies including Person-Centred, Humanistic, Gestalt, CBT and Psychodynamic. 

Coming to counselling can be very daunting but it is a strength to be able to make that first step and I offer a free telephone consultation to answer any questions you may have and hopefully to put your mind at ease in making the first step of your journey.

As well as my Counselling training, I have also worked as a volunteer at Childline, working with vulnerable young adults and children. I have also volunteered at a local charity to me, Home-Start, which offers support to vulnerable families with children under the age of 5 within my area and I have worked as a volunteer for Online Therapy.

I have also participated in various courses, such as, County Line and Drug Awareness, Online telephone counselling, Child criminal exploitation, Safeguarding Children and Adults, working with Difference and Diversity and working therapeutically with Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversity. 

Counselling for me is an absolute privilege to be able to be present with my clients and to be allowed to be bought into your worlds and being trusted so you are able to be your true self.  Being a counsellor opens my heart to be able to care and help others understanding that healing is important in your journey to be able to live a happy, healthy lifestyle.
